It is caused by left-sided cardiac insufficiency, and right-sided cardiac insufficiency is generally caused when the left and right ventricle are affected by the insufficiency. This left and right-sided insufficiency are known as global insufficiency.

  • Myocarditis (inflammation of the heart muscle)
  • Congenital Diseases
  • Heart Rhythm Disorder (arrhythmias)

Cardiac Insufficiency Symptoms

Cardiac insufficiency is occurred by regular episodes with some increasing symptoms. In some cases, it may be acute without any prior history. The most common sign or symptoms of cardiac insufficiency are given below:

  • Chest pain if caused by ischemic cardiomyopathy
  • Shortness of breath
  • Inability to endure strain, tiredness, or fatigue
  • Irregular heart rhythm (arrhythmias)
  • Decreased capacity of physical activity or exercise
  • Chronic cough with whitish or pinkish phlegm
