Heart failure is the most common and dangerous heart issue nowadays, according to the World Heart Federation statistics. Heart disease is the world’s no. 1 killer. It has been the leading cause of death in the United States since 1990. You may not believe that more than 2400 people die from heart disease daily in America.

Various kinds of heart diseases affect our sensitive body organs, the HEART. Clinically heart diseases are known to us as cardiovascular diseases. The most common types of cardiovascular disease are:

  1. Atherosclerosis
  2. Coronary heart disease.
  3. Chest pain
  4. Irregular heartbeat.
  5. Congestive heart failure (Heart failure).
  6. Congestive and rheumatic heart disease.
  7. Stroke.

Symptoms Of Heart Failure

Congestive heart failure (CHF), Cardiac failure (CF) are referred to the heart failure simply. As we know, the heart pump and maintains the blood flow of your body that tissue need. Do you know the term Metabolic? The food we eat that not energy, you know.

Converting food and drinks into energy is known as Metabolism; the heart helps in the Metabolic process of tissue. But when the heart fails to pump blood and flow the blood to the tissue properly and smoothly as it does, it calls heart failure.

Some common symptoms of heart failure are:

  1. Shortness of breath during daily activities.
  2. Trouble breathing during lying down.
  3. Weight gain with swelling in the feet, legs, ankles or stomach, and abdomen.
  4. Tiredness or weakness.
  5. Pulmonary edema (excess fluid in lungs).
  6. The pumping action of the heart becomes weaker.

Causes Of Heart Failure

So, generally, we can say that heart failure is called heart failure when the heart cannot pump blood properly and flow oxygen to support other organs in our body. Originally heart failure is a severe condition, but it does not mean that the heart has stopped. Heart failure is one of the most noticeable heart diseases.

About 6.2 million adults in the USA have heart failure. In 2018, the USA mentioned heart failure on 379,800 death certificates. There are lots of causes that trigger heart failure.

The following reasons usually cause heart failure:

  1. Heart attack.
  2. High blood pressure.
  3. Abnormal heart rhythm.
  4. Infection in the heart.
  5. Diabetes.
  6. Obesity.
  7. Valvular heart disease.
  8. Virus and toxins.
  9. Hypertension etc.

Which Triggers Heart Failure

The heart works smoothly so that body tissues work properly to create energy to maintain our body alive. Some unusual activities trigger heart failure. Some unhealthy behaviors can also cause heart failure, especially in people who have one of the conditions listed below in themself:

  1. Smoking tobacco.
  2. Eating foods high in fat.
  3. High cholesterol and excessive sodium.
  4. Not getting enough physical activity.
  5. Excessive alcohol consumption.

Treatment of Heart Failure

Early diagnosis and treatment can improve the quality and length of life of people with heart failure if anybody who feels symptoms of heart failure must go for a diagnosis and treatment. Treat of heart failure involves the following:

  1. Cardiac medication
  2. Reducing sodium in the diet
  3. Drinking fewer liquids
  4. Devices that remove excess salt and water from the blood
  5. Heart transplant or other surgery
  6. Getting daily physical activities and exercises or breathers.

Prevention of Heart Failure

Treatment of heart failure is not only the solution to prevent heart failure. Prevention is better than cure, so we need to prevent heart failure as early as possible. To prevent heart failure, we can follow the instructions:

Eliminate risk factors for heart failure (high blood pressure and coronary artery disease) by making lifestyle changes along with the help of any needed medications in the following ways:

  1. Not smoking
  2. Staying physically active
  3. Eating healthy foods
  4. Maintaining body weight
  5. Reducing and managing stress
